Kundan Meenakari Jewelry Styles
Different styles of Kundan Meenakari jewelry have evolved over time, and it is the union of colors with gold, which also connects and separates each other.
Open Meena: This style of Meenakari jewelry harmonizes the 4 colors commonly found in nature - red, blue, green, and white very beautifully. In order to make different designs and motifs, Open Meena is applied with a thin layer of colored enamel, i.e., Meena on yellow gold. The enamel used is translucent, which is why every color shines with the glow of gold.
Closed Meena: Unlike Khul Meena, a thick layer of opaque enamel is applied on a base of yellow gold in the closed Meena style. This enamel envelopes the gold base, but the gold frames are uprooted, in which the colors are very attractive very closely filled. This style of Kundan Meenakari jewelry is very artfully combined with colors that are created by mixing other colors, such as pink and turquoise.
Panchranga Meena: The artistic palette of colors, i.e., Panchranga, is made by mixing five colors, out of which three colors are white, red, and green, and two shades are two shades of blue. This combination of five different enamel colors is a very conspicuous expression of Panchranga Meena. This meenakari style of jewellery enhances the charm of pure gold and accentuates all the other five colors. The glow of the things of Panchranga Meena can brighten up any outfit, event, or occasion.
Pink or Banarasi Meena: Pink Meena is a marque style of Meenakari jewelry that comes from Varanasi (Banaras) and serves to cater to your jewelry needs. While pink is the main color of the enamel design in Pink Meena, other colors are used to complete the pattern around it. The artisans of this distinctive style of Meenakari jewelry are very proud of their craft, and this style has also been given the Geographical Index (GI) tag.
